A day after winning the bronze medal and scripting history in the Paris Olympics 2024, shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for the bronze medal match in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event along with teammate Sarabjot Singh.
The India pair finished third in the qualification match by scoring 193, 195, and 192 in their three series with a total of 580 points. They missed out on the gold medal match by just 1 point.
The Indian duo will face Korea’s Jin Ye Oh and Wonho Lee in the bronze medal match. Turkiye’s Illayda Tarhan and Yusef Dikec and Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec will square off in the gold medal match.
Both these matches will take place on 30th July, Tuesday, at the Chateauroux – Final Range.
This was the second consecutive day where Manu led the Indian contingent with her stellar performance backed by her teammate Sarabjot Singh.
The Indian duo maintained their positions in the top four since the start ensuring pressure on the opponents.
Manu is on her way to winning her second Olympic medal whereas Sarabjot Singh will be looking forward to winning his very first Olympic medal.
Looking at their performances at the games, the bronze medal looks very promising. Both the 22-year-olds have had a wonderful campaign so far and have a very bright future ahead of them.
The entire nation will be glued to the television on 30th July, Tuesday, to witness these two talents contest for the bronze medal.
