ICC squad for T20 World Cup 2024: Rohit Sharma at India 6 In, no place for SA players.
2024 T20 World Cup ICC squad consisted of as many as six Indian players. Anrich Nortje was the only South African to enter the race as the 12th man.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has concluded the 2024 T20 World Cup and announced the 2024 squad for the tournament. The Indian cricket team defeated South Africa in their last match, they were given as many as six names to move forward and surprisingly there is no room for a player from South Africa in the XI. While Team India captain Rohit Sharma topped the list owing to his exemplary performance in the tournament, middle-order
Suryakumar Yadav also topped the list. This is the playing field where India dominate the table, where Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh’s pace gets the credit and where Hardik Pandya plays.
The Rohit Sharma-led team ended an 11-year wait for an ICC title and a 17-year World T20 ranking in Barbados on Saturday. After a tense campaign that went South Africa’s way for most of the campaign, India were crushed by the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh who put up exemplary death-defying fights.
