Gautam-Gambhir

The campaign to succeed Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian cricket team is being led by Gautam Gambhir.

Prospective Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir stated that leading the national cricket team is “the greatest honour.” Following his triumphant return to lead the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2024 Indian Premier League, Gambhir has solidified his position as the clear favorite to succeed Rahul Dravid as head coach following the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.

The unsung hero of India’s last two World Cup victories, Gambhir stated that the prayers of 140 crore Indians as a whole, not just him, will lead India to another significant victory.

“I’d want to be the Indian team’s coach. Being a national team coach is the greatest honor there is. The 42-year-old stated, “You are representing 140 crore Indians and those around the world as well,” during an Abu Dhabi event.

Former captain of India Sourav Ganguly supported Gambhir earlier this week, stating that “he is a good candidate” for the position of head coach. Speaking to a group of students at the Medeor Hospital in Abu Dhabi was Gambhir.

In response to a query from a student regarding his coaching experience and potential role in helping the Indian cricket team win the World Cup, Gambhir said, “I have not answered this issue, although many people have asked me. But now I have to respond to you.

“140 crore Indians will contribute to India’s World Cup victory. India will win the World Cup if everyone starts praying for us and we begin to play and represent them. “Being fearless is the most important thing,” stated Gambhir.

The former opener stopped by the sports medical department of Medeor Hospital while on a personal visit to the United Arab Emirates.

He made connections with young cricket fans from several Abu Dhabi academies while there and gave them insights into his motivational path and most recent successes.

Gambhir was commended for his recent success with the KKR. Gambhir was a vital member of the Indian side that won the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2007 World T20.

“A safe and secure changing area leads to a contented and successful changing area.” I just kept this mantra in mind when I was in the KKR. It really did work, by God’s grace,” he remarked.
