Bhajan-Kaur

Bhajan Kaur won two matches in the women’s individual archery competition to reach the pre-quarters of the Olympics at the Invalides arena in Paris. She secured her place by winning in straight sets.

Demonstrating superb skills and consistency, Bhajan won the match with a clean 6-0 scoreline.

Throughout the three sets she posted consistent scores of 28, 29 and 28 showcasing her proficiency and securing her advancement to the next stage.

Prior to this victory Bhajan had defeated Indonesia’s Syifa Nurafifah Kamal with a score of 7-3 in to advance to the Round of 16.

The archery contingent has had a disappointing campaign so far at the Olympics. India being a nation with a very rich history in the sport is expected to clinch many medals in the sport.

Bhajan Kaur’s performance has given a sigh of relief to the entire archery contingent with hopes for a medal in the sport.

Later today Dhiraj Bommadevara will be playing in the Archery Men’s Individual event. Looking at his form it looks like he too will progress to the pre-quarters round.

Bhajan Kaur will be playing her pre-quarters match on 3rd August against Indonesia’s Diananda Choirunisia. We expect nothing less than a podium finish from both our archers.

We’d love to see the Indian flag being hoisted at the Archery Arena. Stay tuned with us for further updates as we cover India’s journey at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Will we be able to make this our best ever Olympics campaign by clinching more than seven medals?

Looking at the talented contingent representing our nation it looks quite possible for us to achieve this feat.
